Chef Ben Hoffer is a Colorado native, having grown up in Manitou Springs. After graduation from Manitou Springs High School, Ben was accepted into the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts in Pittsburgh, where he attained his culinary degree. Greatly respected by his staff and peers, Ben oversees all full service catering for the recently combined Garden of the Gods Gourmet and Pinery Catering organizations. Ben specializes in International French fusion, combining other cuisines with classic French techniques.
Owner Mitchell Yellen is an entrepreneur, author, investment banker and financial engineer whose honesty and integrity has led to success both in his professional and personal life. He owns many successful businesses in the Colorado Springs area, including Garden of the Gods Gourmet Market & Café, Garden of the Gods Gourmet Catering & Events, Taste Restaurant and has exclusive partnerships with the U.S. Olympic Training Center, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center.
